Ukranian Space Startups

Ukrainian Space Startups

Ukraine has been seminal in the history of space. Konstantin Tsiolkovsky, arguably one of the fathers of the human space movement and inspiration to Gerard K. O’Neill and many others, was born in Ukraine. Also born in Ukraine, the legendary Serhiy Korolov led the Sputnik team. More, a significant portion of the innovation and design of the entire Soviet Space Program is traceable to Ukrainian leadership and engineering.

This Special Database is dedicated to our space startup friends in the brave Ukrainian Republic. While our amazing team did their best to ensure those listed are still viable, given the vagaries of war and the ongoing devastation wrought by the Russian leader’s unprovoked and malicious invasion, the companies here may or may not still exist. Also, while our early investments have been largely in the US or UK (with one in Luxembourg, and one in South America), you can be sure that as we evolve our subsequent funds, we will be keeping a keen eye on the innovative and exciting space community in Ukraine.

The table below details all the available data on these Ukrainian space startups.

How to Use This Table

Sort: Click on the column heading to sort A-Z; click again to sort Z-A.

Search: To search within the entire table, simply type your query into the search area at the top right of the table. If you’d like to search within a specific column, use the search box at the bottom of that column.

Download: You can download this table as an Excel or CSV file by using the icons at the top of the table. You can also print the table.

Screen Size: The database is too big to fit on most screens, so you’ll need to use the scroll bar at the bottom of your screen to scroll right to see additional columns and continue scrolling down to see all companies.

Status: This column is meant to describe the current status of the company as it relates to the ongoing operations of Ukrainian space companies. ‘Pivoted’ means the company has pivoted to work on the war effort, either reducing or canceling commercial operations. ‘Zombie’ means we cannot confirm if there is any ongoing activity.
